Our outlets have worked hard to create menus to suit all tastes. They serve up nourishing meals, offer healthy drink options and where possible, cook with local fresh produce.
All Coorong Healthy Highways menus cater for adults and children, because we know those long trips are made easier when there’s wholesome food available for the whole family.
If you can’t find something on the menu that suits your taste, just ask the friendly staff at any of the CHH outlets they’ll do their best to make something to suit your taste and/or dietary requirements.
Restaurants, cafes, food retailers and producers can all sign up to be part of the Coorong Healthy Highways initiative. The business benefits are exceptional, and the impact on the local community is immeasurable.
This project is unique to South Australia and the only one of its kind nationally. It’s already creating a stir across local media and we expect the attention to increase.
So, if you’re a business, located in the Coorong District Council area, fill in the contact form below to get involved*.

At Coorong Healthy Highways (CHH) we’re making healthy food and drinks easy to find.
Delicious and nourishing food shouldn’t be so hard to access when you’re on the road, and CHH solves this problem for you.
We know that most Australians want to make better food choices for themselves and their families, so we have developed a range of healthy outlet menus across our beautiful Coorong district (which we know you will LOVE).
Whether you’re on a family holiday, trucking freight interstate, or driving the morning commute to work, CHH has something for everyone.
So whatever highway route you take, make sure you drop in to one of our CHH outlets and grab a healthy bite to eat (trust us, it makes a nice change from fries and soft drink, and offers the added benefit of more energy for a safer drive).
The CHH initiative was led by the Coorong District Council and its OPAL (Obesity Prevention and Lifestyle) team. It was launched in 2016 and (with support from the organisations such as the Heart Foundation and Premier’s Healthy Kids Menu Taskforce) it is rapidly gaining momentum as one of the most unique preventative health projects in Australia.
